We share your concerns about infrastructure
When elected to represent District 2 on the Tuskegee City Council, I will make infrastructure a top priority by aggressively advocating for long-overdue improvements to streets, sidewalks, drainage and public spaces.
I will work to secure state and federal funding, hold contractors accountable for quality and timeliness and ensure that repairs and upgrades happen where they are needed most—especially in neglected neighborhoods.
I believe that the people of Tuskegee deserve a city that looks cared for and functions with pride and I will work with my colleagues who feel the same way about this issue, to make our shared vision a reality.

Why the best man for the job is a woman
I say this without flinching because I know what I bring to the table. Leadership rooted in service. A clear moral compass. The ability to multitask under pressure, listen with empathy and make tough decisions with grace. I have navigated real life—caring for a family and managing our homes. I have also sustained a busy career, while also contributing to civic progress through community service. Those are not abstract skills; they are the foundation of effective leadership.
This city does not need more talk—it needs traction. Accountability, not arrogance. And at this moment, Tuskegee needs the kind of leadership that’s been forged in the fire of community care and grounded in a commitment to every neighbor, every street and every child.
When I say “the best man for the job is a woman,” I know those words shake the room—and I’m fine with that. They show I’m willing to be a disruptor for a cause. And I can think of no cause more urgent than bringing a fresh vision to Tuskegee.
This kind of leadership? It just so happens to be wearing heels this time.
So yes, the best man for the job is a woman. And I’m ready to prove it.

Issues Affecting Children & Families
As a mother, grandmother and lifelong advocate for community wellness, I care deeply about the well-being of children and families in Tuskegee.
I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our families face—from limited access to safe recreational spaces to a lack of support services that help children thrive.
When I am elected to the Tuskegee City Council, I will work to strengthen the systems that nurture our young people, support parents and create safe, healthy environments for every child to grow.
Our future depends on how we care for our families today—and I am committed to working on their behalf to improve conditions affecting them.
Speak Up. Join In. Make Change.
As your candidate for Tuskegee City Council District 2, I believe real leadership starts with listening. That’s why I’m inviting you to use this website to share your concerns, your ideas and your recommendations.
Your voice matters—and together, we can create the kind of progress our community deserves. I also ask that you help spread the word about my campaign. Tell your family, your neighbors, your church members, co-workers and your friends. With you on board, we can move Tuskegee forward—together.
